Lemon, Chia, turmeric tonic! Mix a small juice glass with water, a tea spoon of chia seeds, half a tea spoon of turmeric and a juicy lemon wedge. Let it chill and congeal for a half hour, stir, then down the hatch! Turmeric is part of the ginger family and a generally bad ass and yummy spice. Lemon is amazing for cleansing and detoxifying. It also kick starts your metabolism and neutralizes the blood. Chia seeds are weird and amazing. One of the most powerful and tasteless superfoods. Full of omega 3, chia is a complete protein and tons of fiber. Sprinkle on salads, in smoothies or mix with water or juice like I did to hydrate and aid in detox digestion. #health #chia #tumeric #cleanse #treatyoself

Midday Meditations
Happy MOONday, folks!
Lets tune in! Allow your eyes to soften or close. The corners of your mouth lift to a slight smile. Bring your left hand to your heart and right hand to your belly. Cultivate stillness here. Look inward. Quiet and lengthen your breath. Feel your heart beat in your left hand and belly rise and fall in the right.
Feel the substance, the sturdiness of your body, your home, your foundation. Notice how your seat, the floor, or chair offers your support. How your clothes feel and fall on your body. How the air feels on your skin.
Observe your thoughts, and exhale them away. Inhale to invite Positivity, exhale to send Positivity. Then Love. Then Peace. Then Gratitude.
Sit here for several breaths, feel how alive and full you are if only for a few moments. Be here now.
Show yourself gratitude and compassion.
Have a beautiful day!
Namaste! <3

That moment
When you realize its not about finding someone who wants to “get to know you,” but letting the person who already knows you find you.

“Prana” is the Sanskrit word for “life!”
This is the source from which our beloved yogic word “Pranayama” is derived. Pranayama literally means “extension of life force” or in simpler terms, BREATH!
Speaking of PRANA, this is not exclusive to filling our lungs- this prana, or life, can fill us, nourish us, and become an extension in a variety of ways.
Beyond breath work, I enjoy thinking of Prana in relation to food.
Consider what foods you and others eat, have a gentle and non-judgmental comparison and it becomes rather intuitive.
Think on this- One goes to a farmers market, speaks to the farmer or close family member of the farmer who grew a beautiful bushel of greens. You exchange smiles, talk about the weather, and their favorite way to prepare what you are about to purchase from them. You trade currency for the food very close to its natural source. Take the greens home, rinse, and prepare. The life, the energy, the PRANA you are ingesting with this food was grown/raised, purchased, exchanged, prepared and enjoyed with far more depth than a meal that was ingested from a fast-food joint.
Fast food is impersonal, uses far more natural resources(think transportation and energy consumption for production and preparation) and from what is commonly accepted, ALL of this food is raised/grown in bulk(factory style) and is essentially an imitation of the “real” thing considering the pesticides, hormones, preservatives and chemicals this “food” is smothered in. This food is processed and consumed thoughtlessly. There is little to NO prana actually in this food- high in calories and sugar, low in nutrition and Love.
When you are planning your meals, grocery shopping, or perusing the farmer’s market, please consider the source- where does my food come from, who helped grow, produce and transport this food that brings me PRANA/Life, and how can I bring more attention AND intention to my relationship with food!?
Eat Well, Buy Local, and Treat Yourself :)

Probably my favorite photograph I have ever taken. This was one of those moments that opens your heart, makes a print in your soul and changes you forever.
